ORDINANCE NO. 917
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 912 (BEING, AN ORDINANCE
PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER OF SALE OF CERTAIN REAL ESTATE OWNED
BY THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS)
WHEREAS, additional time appears to be necessary for the proper
advertisement for bids for the sale of certain real estate owned by
the City of Canton, all as more fully set forth in Ordinance #912;
and,
WHEREAS, it appears to serve the best interests of the City of
Canton that Ordinance #912, passed by the City Council of the City
of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois on January 5, 1982, be amended
as hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT, AND IT HEREBY IS, ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That numerical paragraph #7 of Ordinance #912, passed by the
City Council on January 5, 1982, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"7. Bids shall be submitted to the City Clerk, City Building,
210 East Chestnut Street, Canton, Illinois 61520, on or before
March 2, 1982, at 5:00 o'clock P.M., local time. Late bids will
not be considered. All bids submitted shall be opened before the
City Council at its regular meeting of March 2, 1982."
2. In all other respects, Ordinance #912, passed by the City
Council on January 5, 1982 is hereby expressly approved, ratified
and confirmed.
3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, this 2nd day of February 1982, and upon a
roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Kovachevich, Hammond, Sarff, Grant, Carl, Clarke, Horr.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alderman Selfridge
