ORDINANCE N0. X940
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN ANNUAL SALARY FOR THE CITY CLERK
OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, the Finance & Personnel Committee of the City of Canton,
Illinois has determined that it is necessary, desirable and to the
best interests of the City of Canton to set specific salaries for
the various elected municipal officers including the Mayor, City
Clerk, and City Treasurer: and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of_ Canton, Illinois has
made a similar determination.
NOGJ, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS;
1. Beginning May 1, 1985, the City Clerk of the City of Canton,
Illinois shall receive an annual salary of fifteen thousand seven
hundred and fifty dollars ($15,750.00),
2. Beginning May 1, 1986, the City Clerk of the City of Canton,
Illinois shall receive an annual salary of sixteen thousand dollars
($16,000.00).
3. Beginning May 1, 1987, the City Clerk of the City of Canton,
Illinois shall receive an annual salary of sixteen thousand two
hundred and fifty dollars ($16,250.00).
4. Beginning May 1, 1988, the City Clerk of the City of Canton,
Illinois shall receive an annual salary of sixtenn thousand five
hundred dollars ($16,500.00).
5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon
its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and
approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and
APPROVED by the Mayor thereof this 7th day of November , 1984 .
