ORDINANCE NO. ~~_
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE WEST SIDE OF SOUTH AVENUE "F"
BETWEEN WEST WALNUT STREET AND WEST RAY STREET.
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois has determined that it is necessary to prohibit
parking on the West side of South Avenue "F" in the City of Canton
between the South curb line of West Walnut Street and the North curb
line of West Ray Street; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That no parking of any motor vehicle shall be permitted on the
West side of South Avenue "F" between the South curb line of West
Walnut Street and the North curb line of West Ray Street.
2. That the Street Superintendent shall post appropriate signs
and appropriate markings informing the public of this provision.
3. Any person who violates this Ordinance shall, upon conviction,
be subject to a fine of not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) nor more
than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each such violation.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10)
days after its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication
in pamplet form as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois at a regular meeting this 7th day of _~u,gtlst 1984,
upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES• Aldermen May, Carl, Workman, Sarff, Hammond, Kovachevich.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT• Aldermen Horr, Savill.
