ORDINANCE N0. 1 O1 9
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CUSTER PLACE BETWEEN
NORTH FIFTH AVENUE AND NORTH SIXTH AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the Street and Garbage Committee of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois has determined that it is necessary to prohibit parking on
the North side of Custer Place in the City of Canton between the East curb line
of North Fifth Avenue and the West curb line of North Sixth Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois has
made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That no parking of any motor vehicle shall be permitted on the
North side of Custer Place between the East curb line of North Fifth Avenue
and the West curb line of North Sixth Avenue.
2. That the Street Superintendent shall post appropriate signs and
appropriate markings informing the public of this provision.
3. Any person who violates this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be
subject to a fine of not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Five
Hundred Dollars ($500.00)- for each such violation.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10)days
after its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication in pamphlet form as
provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
at a regular meeting this 15th day of May 1984, upon a roll
call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Horr, May, Carl, Savill, Hammond, Kovachevich.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Aldermen Workman, Sarff.
