ORDINANCE N0. 1018
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 4 AND 5 OF CHAPTER 8, TITLE 1 OF THE CANTON
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO PART-TIME EMPLOYEES AND TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the Negotiations, Grievance and Personnel Committee has determined
that it is necessary and in the best interest of the City of Canton to amend the
Canton Municipal Code as hereinafter set forth; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That Section 4, Chapter 8, Title 1 of the Canton Municipal Code is
amended to read as follows:
"1-8-4: PART-TIME AND TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES: Part-time and temporary
employees shall initially be paid and receive an hourly wage
and such other benefits and emoluments as the City Council or Committee
may determine at the time such employee is hired. Such employee may
thereafter receive such raises in pay as the City Council may determine."
2. That Section 5, Chapter 8, Title 1 of the Canton Municipal Code is
rescinded in its entirety.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
at a regular meeting upon a roll call vote this ~i day of _ May ,
1984, as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Kovachevich, Hammond, Savill, Carl, May, Horr.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Aldermen Sarff, Workman.
