HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1015f a ORDINANCE NO. 1015 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7.5, CHAPTER 11, TITLE 8 OF THE CANTON MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO CAMPING FEES AT LAKE CANTON WHEREAS, the Lake, Buildings and Grounds Committee has deter- mined that it is necessary and in the best interest of the City of Canton to amend Section 7.5, Chapter 11, Title 8 of the Canton Municipal Code as hereinafter set forth; and, WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows: 1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact. 2. That Section 7.5, Chapter 11, Title 8 of the Canton Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "8-11-7.5: RULES AND REGULATIONS, PUBLIC CAMPGROUNDS: The following rules and regulations governing camping at the public campgrounds at Lake Canton be, and the same hereby are, adopted by the Canton City Council and the said rules and regulations shall have the same force and effect as ordinances validly enacted: LAKE CANTON CAMPGROUND RULES 1. Camping shall be in designated areas only. 2. Camping fees, payable in advance, shall be: With Air Without Air Conditioning Conditioning Daily Rate $ 4.00 $ 3.00 Weekly Rate 24.00 18.00 Monthly Rate 72.00 54.00 Season Rate 288.00 216.00 3. Checkout time is six o'clock (6:00) P.M. 4. All trailers must be a minimum of twenty five (25') feet apart. 5. No loud, disturbing or excess noise is permitted between eleven o'clock (11:00) P.M. and eight o'clock (8:00) A.M. 6. No outside refrigerators are permitted unless author- ized by the camp supervisor in advance in writing. 7. All pets must be confined on a leash. No dog houses are permitted. 8. No boats are allowed on Lake Canton between one hour after sundown and sunrise. 9. All boats shall be launched and retrieved at the boat dock only. 10. No rubber rafts shall be launched or retrieved at the campground area or at the beach area. 11. No swimming is permitted except as otherwise provided in the Canton Municipal Code. 12. All persons are to stay out of boats tied up at the campground area. 13. All fish heads, entrails and other refuse and garbage shall be rolled in paper, placed in a double plastic bag and then be deposited in a designated trash barrel. 14. Fishing shall be by pole and line only. No trot lines are permitted. Any person who shall violate this Section or any provision thereof shall be ordered from the campground and shall for- feit his campground privileges for the remainder of the permit period, without refund of the camping fee. If any such person fails or refuses to leave the campground, he shall be subject to a fine of not less than twenty- five dollars ($25.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each such failure or refusal." 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days after its passage by the City Coun Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by and publication in pamphlet form as provided PASSED by the City Council of the City of Illinois at a regular meeting this 17th day 1984, upon a roll call vote as follows: ail of the City of the Mayor thereof, by law.
