HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1005j ~ T ORDINANCE N0. 1 0 0 5 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE Ni_]MBER 995, BEING: "AN ORDINANCE DESIGNAT- ING THE TAX INCREI~l'I' RIDEVEL~OPMENT PROJECT AREA (AREA NUMBER TWO) " WHEREAS, the Canton City Council on December 20, 1983, passed, and the Mayor approved, Ordinance Number 995 which established the Tax Increment Redevelopment Project Area (Area Number Two); and, WHEREAS, several parcels of real property lie partially within and partially without the boundaries of said Area; and, WHEREAS, such properties may be excluded from the Project Area without harm to said Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows: 1. That the Canton City Council specifically finds that those parcels of real property hereinafter set forth may be excluded from City of Canton Tax Increment Redevelopment Project Area Number Two without harm to the Project and without altering the exterior boundaries of the Project Area, without affecting the general land uses established pursuant to the plan, and without changing the nature of the redevelopment project within the meaning of X11-74. 4-5 of Chapter 24, Illinois Revised Statutes (1983). 2. That, accordingly, the following parcels of real property are hereby excluded from City of Canton Tax Increment Redevelopment Project Area Number Two, to wit: Lot 45 in Barnes and Jones Addition to the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois; AND, Lots 1, 2 and 3 in Block 3 in Anderson's First Addition to the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois. 3. That nothing herein shall be construed as altering the exterior bounc~- aries, as affecting the general land uses established pursuant to the plan, or, as changing the nature of the redevelopment project of City of Canton Tax Incre- ment Redevelopment Project Area Number Two or of said Project. 4. That in all other respects Ordinance Number 995 and the Tax Increment Redevelopment Project Area designated thereby is hereby specifically approved, ratified, and reconfirmed. 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor thereof .
