WHEREAS, IT APPEARS `i'0 THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Canton, Illinois, that
the territory hereinafter described is not within the corporate limits of any municipality
but is continguoue~ to the City of Canton, Illinois; and
WFIEREAS, it further appears to the said City Council that two electors reside
in said territory hereinafter described, and the owners of record of all the land within
said territory have requested that it be annexed to said city, as shown by the records
of this Council..;,
1'~OW, THEREFORE,.. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CIT7~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,. ILLINOIS;
SECTION. 1. That the territory described as follows:
Part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 25,
Township 7 north, Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian in
Fulton County, State of Illinois and more particularly described as
follows Beginning at a point 522.06 feet East and 25.0 feet North of
the Southwest corner of said Southwest Quarter of Section 25; thence
North 931'.118 feet; thence Test 264.0 feet thence South 330.0 feet;,
thence East Y94.4T feet;:. thence South 601'.tF3 feet; thence East 69.59
feet to the point of beginning, said tract containing 2.~6Q acres more
or less.
BE AND IT IS HEREBY A1Q~NEXED to the City of Canton, Illinois, and is
hereby 8ea~omed AEG-1, AQzicultural~
SECTION: 2. That a certified copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate map
of the territory above described shall be recored with the Recorder of
De®ds, Fulton County,, Illinois.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in effect from and after a two-thirds "aye"
and "nog'" vote of the City Council of the City of Canton, I,ll.inois, and
approval by the Mayor.
