AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF WEST PINE STREET AT THE
GENERAL ADDRESS OF 44 WEST PINE STREET.
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois has determined that it is necessary to prohibit parking on the
South side of West Pine Street in the City of Canton from a point 149 feet East
of the East curb line of South Martin Avenue to a point 211 feet East of the
East curb line of South Martin Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois has
made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CiYNTON,
FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That no parking of any motor vehicle shall be permitted on the South
Side of West Pine Street, at the general address of 44 West Pine Street, from a
point 149 feet East of the East curb line of South Martin Avenue to a point 211 feet
East of the East curb line of South Martin Avenue.
2. That the Street Superintendent shall post appropriate signs and appropriate
markings informing the public of this provision.
3. Any person who violates this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be subject
to a fine of not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars
($500.00) for each such violation.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) nays after
its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois,
approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at
a regular meeting this 20th. day of Augus t 1985, upon a roll call
vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Chapman, May, Workman, Sar~f, Falcone, Zilly,
Kovachevich.
NAYS : None .
ABSENT: Alderman Bohler,
