AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A NO PARKING SIGN ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE
200 BLOCK OF NORTH AVENUE C AND FOR THE REMOVAL THE NO PARKING SIGN
ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE 200 BLOCK OF NORTH AVENUE C IN THE CITY OF
CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Public Safety and Traffic Committee has determined that it is necessary and
in the best interest of the citizens of Canton, Illinois to provide for a no parking sign on the East side of
the 200 Block of North Avenue C and for the removal the no parking sign on the West side of the 200
Block of North Avenue C in the City of Canton, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has made a similaz determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the no pazking sign on the west side of the street in the 200 Block of North Avenue C will
be removed and that the driver of a motor vehicle will be allowed to pazk on the west side of
the street.
2. That a no pazking sign shall be placed on the east side of the street in the 200 Block of North
Avenue C and that every driver of a motor vehicle will refrain from pazking any vehicle under
his or her control on the east side of the street.
3. That any person who violates this Ordinance shall, upon conviction or plea, be subject to a fine
of not less than Five dollazs ($5.00) nor more than Twenty-Five dollars ($25.00) for each such
offense.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and
publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular meeting this
18th. day of July, 2006 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen. Reuel, Schenck, Carl, Sarff, West, Hartford, Berardi,
NAYS: None.
ABSENT': Alderman Meade.
