ORDINANCE N0. 1061
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF A
SHOP SPECIALIZING IN HAND-CRAFTED AND HAND-FINISHED ARTICLES AT
ADDRESS OF 157 WEST VINE STREET
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Tllinois that the territory hereinafter described is
located within the corporate limits of said City, such territory
being generally located at common address of 157 West Vine Street;
and ,
WHEREAS, a petition fox' a special use home occupation was duly
filed by the Petitioners and due and proper notice thereof was
published in the Canton Daily Ledger, a secular daily newspaper
published within said City and County, all in accordance with the
Statutes of the State of Tllinois and the Ordinances of the City
of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning such petition was held be-
fore the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton, Illinois
on April 8th., 19.85 pursuant to notice; and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said Commis-
sion did thereupon recommend to the Canton City Council that said
special use permit for the operation of a shop specializing in hand-
crafted and hand-finished articles at address of 157'~West Vine Str.e~t
be allowed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE TT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illttois as follows.:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That a special use permit for the operation of a shop
specializing in hand-crafted and hand-finished articles to, and the
same hereby is issued to, Arvelyn Miller at address of 157 West Vine
Street, Canton, Illinois affecting real property being legally des-
cribed as follows, to-wit:
Lot 6 in Joseph Zwisler S. Additon to the
City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois,
Ex 15' W, side 2,
3. That this special use permit is personal to Arvelyn Miller
at the above stated address only. That any cessation of such use
by Arvelyn Miller or her moving or removal from said address shall
automatically terminate said specail use permit. That, further,
such special use permit is not transferrable or valid at any other
address or affecting any other property.
4. That the records of the City of Canton, appropriate documents,
maps and related regulations be, and the same hereby are, amended to
reflect the foregoing special use permit.
5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Tllinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois as a regular meeting this- 7th day of May ,
1985 upon a roll call vote. as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Kovachevich, Hammond, Sarff, Workman, Carl,
May, Horr.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT;Alderman Savill
