ORDINANCE N0. 1058
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE CITY OF CANTON AND NO LONGER NEIDID FOR CITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Streets and Garbage Committee of the Canton City Council
has determined that the City of Canton presently awns certain items of per-
sonal property no longer needed or used for City purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has made a similiar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That those items of personal property owned by the City of Canton
and set forth in Exhibit A hereto attached are no longer needed or used for
City purposes and shall be sold. Sealed bids for the purchase of such items
shall be accepted by the City Clerk through the close of regular business hours
on date of May 7, 1985 and shall be opened at the regular City Council meeting
of May 7, 1985.
2. The. City Clerk is hereby authorized to cause advertisement of such sale
to be made as may be desirable or required by law.
3. That this Ordinance shall be effective inanediately upon its passage by the
City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois by at least 3/4 vote
of the Corporate Authorities and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSID by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at
a regular meeting this lhrh day of Anr,'1 1985 upon a roll call vote as
follows:
