ORDINANCE N0. 1124
AN ORDINANCE ABATING A PORTION OF A BOND LEVY FOR THE 1986
- 1987 FISCAL YEAR ($1,650,000 Principal Amount Sewer Bonds,
Series 1985).
WHEREAS, the City of Canton has by Ordinance No. 1092
previously authorized the issue of $1,650,000 principal
amount sewer bonds, Series 1985; and,
WHEREAS, it now appears that the City has, or, will
have on hand, sewer and water funds sufficient to abate
a portion of such bond levy for the City's 1986-1987 fiscal
year.
Now, therefore, be it ordained by the City Council
of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That $120,000 of the levy for City of Canton
$1,650,000 Principal Amount Sewer Bonds, Series 1985, for
the City of Canton 1986 - 1987 fiscal year be, and the same
hereby is, abated.
2. That the balance of said levy and all other levies
are hereby reaffirmed and ratified.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify a copy of this
Ordinance to the Fulton County Clerk as and for said Clerk's
authority to abate $120,000 of said levy.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council
of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval
by the Mayor thereof..
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 2nd
day of December 1986, upon a roll call vote
as follows:
Ayes: Aldermen Chapman, May, Bohler, Workman, Sarff,
Steck, Zilly, Kovachevich.
Nays: None.
Absent: None.
