ORDINANCE NO. 1117
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY OF CANTON'S ZONING
MAP AND APPROVING AN AMENDED ZONING MAP
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council by Ordinance Number 567
dated November 9, 1976 adopted and promulgated a Zoning Map
dated November 9, 1976; and,
WHEREAS, a review of said map has disclosed several errors
in zoning classification; and,
WHEREAS, a review of said map has disclosed several areas in
the City of Canton where a change in zoning classification is
appropriate; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Canton on date of .September 8th , 1986 held public hearing
on said changes and amendments after notice by publication in the
Canton Daily Ledger ,and has recommended the adoption of the pro-
posed changes and amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That the Zoning Map hereto attached, dated September 16y
1986, is hereby adopted as the Zoning Map of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois.
3. That all prior maps and/or zoning ordinances are, to the
extent inconsistent with the Zoning Map hereby approved, rescinded.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten
(10) days after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof,
and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois at a regular meeting this 16th. day of September ,
1986 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Chapman, May, Bohler, Workman, Sarff, Stec k.,
Zilly, Kovachevi'ch.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
