AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AMID ADOPTING CERTAIN AMEND~MEIVTS TO THE CITY OF
CANT'ON'S OOMPREHENSIVE PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City of Canton has previously adopted a Comprehensive
Plan for Land Use; and,
WHEREAS, The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton
has rewmmended certain amendments thereto; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council did on December 3, 1985 hold public
hearing thereon in conformity with the requirements of law; and,
Wl~REAS, the Canton City Council does hereby determine that it is
necessary and in the best interest of the City ofiCanton to adopt the
attached amendments to the City of Canton's Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That the existing Comprehensive Plan for Land Use now in force
and effect in the City of Canton is hereby amended by inclusion therein cif
the attached amendments.
3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause
such amended Comprehensive Plan to be printed and updated copies circulated
to the affected City officers and commissions.
4. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to immediately
cause a certified copy of this Ordinance to be filed in the Office of the
Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County, Illinois.
5. That the filing of a certified copy of this Ordinance with the
aforesaid Recorder of Deeds shall be deemed "notice of the adoption" of the
attached amendments and the attached amendments shall become effective 10
days after the date of the such filing.
6. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
at a regular meeting this 7 th. day of January , 1985, upon a roll
call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Kovachevich., Zilly, Sane, .Workman, Ma.y,
Chapman.
NAYS: None .
ABSENT: Alderman Bohlen, Alderman Falcone resigned.
