ORDINANCE NO. 1140
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 8, SECTION 1 OF THE CANTON
MUNICIPAL CODE (RELATING TO THE DEFINITION OF "SUPPER CLUB")
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee has determined that
it is in the best interest of the City of Canton that the
definition of "Supper Club" be amended; and,

"3-8-1: Definitions...
SUPER CLUB: The words "supper club" mean a place of
business, operated for profit, whose primary
business is the operation of a restaurant and which
is licensed to sell alcholic beverages at retail as
an incident to its primary business for consumption
only on the premises thereof and in conjunction with
the simultaneous or near simultaneous consumption of
food. The words "supper club License" shall mean and
have reference to the liquor license required and
provided for under this Chapter for the operation of
such a business."
2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten
(10) days after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and
publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this Rth day of Anril
1987, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Chapman, May, Bohler, Workman, Sarff, Steck,
Zilly, Kovachevich.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
