ORDINANCE NO. 1]41
An Ordinance Resoning Real Property Located At 420 W. Locust
St., Canton, Illinois, From R-2 to 8-1 Zoning Configuration
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Canton has, after Notice and Hearing, unanimously recommended the
rezoning of property, on Petition of Danny Lingenfelter, generally
located at the address of 420 W. Locust St., Canton, Illinois, and
which is legally described as follows:
The East 50 feet of the North 1/2 of Lot 3 in Block 1 in
Englewood Addition of Thorp's Subdivision of a Part of Lot 27
in French's Addition to the City of Canton, situated in the
County of Fulton and State of Illinois,
from R-2 (Single Family Residential District) to B-1 (Local
Commercial District) under the Zoning Ordinance Of this City; and,
WHEREAS, this Council is now fully advised in the premises;
and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Canton to
rezone said property from R-2 to B-1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council hereby finds the foregoing
recitals to be fact.
2. That the property above described be, and it hereby is,
rezoned from its present zoning configuration of R-2 (Single Family
Residential District) to the zoning configuration of B-1 (Local
Commercial District), under the Zoning Ordinance of this City.
3. That the appropriate officials of this City mark and make
such changes on the Zoning Map of this City as may be necessary to
properly display the zoning change herein Ordained and do such
other acts as are customarily done to reflect the zoning change.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 8th day of April ,
1987 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Kovachevich, Zilly, Sarff, Workman, Bohler,
May, Chapman.
