CONSENT AGENDA APPROVAL OF THE COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES HELD NOVEMBER 17, 2020 POLICE REPORT FIRE REPORT Motion and second were made by Aldermen West/Lingenfelter to approve the consent agenda and place it on file. (1sT READING) ORDINANCE#4206 This item was presented to the planning and zoning commission with no concerns. Attorney Jump asked if the reason for the re-zoning is for a special use that is allowed under a B-3 zoning classification for a single family on the second story. Andrew Johnson explained that when his daughter is no longer living at home, they would like to be able to downsize and would like to have the option to be able to move to the upstairs as a small apartment. The other properties in the neighborhood have similar uses. Motion and second were made by Alderman West/Nelson to waive the first reading on both items#1 and #2 under the legal and ordinance committee agenda. DISCUSS, CONSIDER AND VOTE ON AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW FOR A PORTION OF 212 EAST CHESTNUT, CANTON ILLINOIS TO BE USED AS A RESIDENTIAL SPACE THE PROPERTY IS CURRENTLY ZONED B-2 (PENDING A ZONING CHANGE TO B-3) (11T READING) ORDINANCE#4207 Motion and second were made by Alderman West/Nelson to waive the first reading on both items#1 and #2 under the legal and ordinance committee agenda. FINANCE ALDERWOMAN ANDRA CHAMBERLIN, CHAIRMAN BILL LIST Alderman Fritz questioned the item on the bill list listed under the police departments bills. The credit card reflected a charge for$190.00. Director Fairburn explained that this is for meals provided after a de-briefing for an incident that took place in August.The fire department also had a charge for$181.99 for holsters for firefighter Lusk. Firefighter Lusk was sworn in as an auxiliary officer and is part of the equipment needed. Motion and second were made by Alderwoman Chamberlin/Nelson to approve the bill list. Treasurer Wilkinson reported that the City is still doing pretty well with the sales tax revenue so far this year.
