ORDINANCE NO. 113
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING APPROXIMATELY 507.38 FEET OF WEST LOCUST
STREET
WHEREAS, it appears necessary and in the best interest of they
City of Canton to annex approximately 507.38 feet of West Locust
Street into the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, such annexations are authorized by §7-1-10, Chapter
24, I11. Rev. Stat. 1985; and,
WHEREAS, said portion of West Locust Street is contiguous to
the City of Canton.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That approximately 507.38 feet of West Locust Street
identified in Exhibit A to this Ordinance be, and the same hereby
is, annexed into the City of Canton.
3. That the City Clerk is directed to file a certified copy
of this Ordinance with each of the Fulton County Recorder and the
Fulton County Clerk.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 3rd day of February ,
1987 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Chapman, May, Bohler, Sarff, Steck, Zilly.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Aldermen Workman, Kovachevich.
