RESOLUTION N0. 1190
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY OF CANTON MEDICAL,
DENTAL, AND DISABILITY PLAN.
WHEREAS, Federal legislation (COBRA) has mandated certain
benefits for City employees; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Canton now needs to amend its Medical,
Dental and Disability Plan to conform with said Federal mandates.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the attached "Amendment", Exhibit A to this
Resolution, be, and the same hereby is, approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute and deliver the same on behalf of the City
of Canton.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 16th day of
December 1986 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Kovachevich, Zilly, Steck, Sarff, Workman,
Bohler, May, Chapman.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.

AMENDMENT
City of Canton - Medical, Dental and Disability Plan
is hereby amended effective _ July 1 19 Q6
to provide that where the Plan has provisions which
are contrary to any applicable provisions of the
Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA),
the provisions of COBRA shall prevail.
