OPERATION OF AN ASSISTED LIVING CENTER
ORDINANCE NO. 1865
An Ordinance granting a Special Use Permit for the operation of an assisted living center
located at the vacant lots bordered by Pine Street to the North, Maple Street to the South,
Second Avenue to the East, Van Buren Court to the West and also to the West an alley
running south from Van Buren Court between Walnut Street and Maple Street, in Canton,
Illinois to PETERSEN HEALTH RESOURCES, LLC.
WHEREAS, It appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of the
City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, A Petition was filed by Petersen Health Resources, LLC to the
Planning and Zoning Commission of said City requesting a Special Use Permit; and,
WHEREAS, Notice of a petition for a Special Use Permit in a I- I zoning was
published within said City and County, all in accordance with the Statutes of the State of
Illinois and the Ordinances of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, No objectors appeared at said hearing, and said Planning and Zoning
Commission did thereupon make favorable findings of fact and did recommend to the
Canton City Council that said Special Use Permit be issued for the Assisted Living
Center at the above described location
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, hereby
finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That a Special Use Permit for the operation of an Assisted Living Center be
issued to Petersen Health Resources, LLC, Canton, Illinois affecting real property being
legally described as follows:
The East One-Half of Lot 71; the East One-Half of Lot 72; the South 37 feet of
The West Half of Lot 73; the East One-Half of Lot 73; Lot 74 and Lot 75 of
Jones' Second Addition to the City of Canton, also,
Lots 5, 12, 21, 28, 37, 44, and 53 in Wright's Addition to the City of Canton, all
in Fulton County, Illinois.

3. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriate documents, maps and
related regulations be and the same hereby are amended to reflect the foregoing special
use permit granted herein.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 2nd day of . 2006, upon a roll call vote as follows:
