RESOLUTION N0. 1194
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CANTON AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
AS AGENT FOR THE CITY OF CANTON TO COLLECT "PROJECT GOOD DEED"
DONATIONS
WHEREAS, Project Good Deed was initiated as a public service
project by the Canton Area Chamber of Commerce on February 16,
1987 with the express purpose of donating up to $200,000 of net
proceeds to the City of Canton to assist in the purchase of real
property and the extension of City water and sewer services to
the Canton Correctional Center; and,
WHEREAS, it now appears necessary and in the best interest
of the City of Canton to formally designate the Canton Area Chamber
of Commerce as its agent aforesaid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Canton Area Chamber of Commerce is hereby
designated by the City of Canton as authorized agent for the
City to collect donations under the auspices of Project Good
Deed and to turn over all such donations to the City of Canton
as hereinafter set forth.
2. That all such donations shall be turned over by the
Chamber of Commerce to the City of Canton on at least a monthly
basis.
3. That funds turned over to the City by the Chamber shall
consist of the aggregate of all donations received during the
preceding calendar month less only the Chamber's actual
out-of-pocket expenses, e.g. the cost of paper and printing costs
of the "deeds", personnel costs, etc. not to exceed 10~ of the
aggregate gross receipts.
4. That such turnover shall be accompanied by an accounting
in form and substance acceptable to the city of the prior month's
gross donations, actual expenses, and net cash amount turned
over.
5. That this Resolution shall be receivable to and effective

as of February 16, 1987.
6. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City
of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor
thereof .
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this Ord _ day of
March 1987 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Zilly, Steck, Sarff, Workman, Bohlen, May,
Chapman.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alderman Kovachevich.
