A RESOLUTION REGARDING IMRF RETIREMENT BENEFITS FOR
BERNARD J. OARS, FORMER GREENWOOD CEMETERY EMPLOYEE
WHEREAS, the Greenwood Cemetery Board in the City of Canton
has determined that it is necessary and in its best interest to
reinstate Illinois Municipal Retirement service credits to Bernard
J. Oaks, a former employee, as set forth in Exhibit A hereto; and,
WHEREAS, the member named herein for the period indicated
totaling seven (7) months should have been but was not reported to
the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund for membership.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. The member worked in a position which qualified him for
membership in IMRF during the months shown above.
3. None of the service of the member during these months was
in a probationary position of four months or less.
4. The member is currently employed in a qualifying position
with an IMRF employer.
5. That any payments or obligations due hereunder shall be
paid exclusively from Greenwood Cemetery funds.
6. That the City Clerk is directed to certify a copy of this
Resolution and Exhibit to IMRF and to do all other acts in the
premises reasonably necessary to effectuate the intent of this
Resolution.
7. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 16th day of
March , 1988, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Steck, Sarff, Meade, Kohler, May, Chapman.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Aldermen Kovachevich, Zil y.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Greenwood Cemetery Board in the City of Canton

nard J. Oaks, a former employee.
WHEF.EAS, the member named herein for the period indicated
totaling seven (7) months should have been but was not reported to
the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund for membership.
BE IT RESOLVED, that it is the finding of the Greenwood Ceme-
tery Board that ;
1. The member worked in a position which qualified him for
membership in IMRF during the months shown above.
2. None of the service of the member during these months was
in a probationary position of four months or less,
3. The member is currently employed in a qualifying position
with an IMRF employer.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the foregoing body agrees to accept
the obligation due IMRF for the omitted service employer contributions
payable through Greenwood Cemetery contribution rates,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the authorized agent is hereby
authorized and directed to file a copy of this resolution and all
other pertinent forms and documents with the City of Canton.

RESOLUTION
