PUBLIC WORKS, WATER AND SEWER ALDERMAN ANGIE LINGENFELTER, CHAIRMAN PUBLIC SAFETY AND TRAFFIC ALDERWOMAN ANGELA HALE, CHAIRMAN STREETS AND GARBAGE ALDERMAN JEFF FRITZ,CHAIRMAN LAKE, BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS ALDERMAN QUIN MAYHEW, CHAIRMAN Discussion took place regarding the campground at Canton Lake. Mayor McDowell explained that some of the rules at the campground will be changing on May 29, 2020 according to 3rd phase of Governor's Pritzker's plan to re-open. Based upon the Governor's guidelines there will still not be any groups of over 10 people allowed and they must obey the social distancing guidelines of six feet distance from each person. The playground will remain closed until further information is obtained. The pavilion will be open, but people will need to obey the number of 10 or less people with six feet social distancing being followed. The Governor announced that he will be lifting the restriction of two people per boat. If the boat is the appropriate size you can have up to 10 people in the boat. Mayor McDowell said that it is his understanding that restaurants and bars will be allowed to open outdoor seating and beer gardens with the new phase three plan. Social distancing will still be required in the outdoor seating and beer garden areas. MAYOR COMMUNICATION Garbage pickup will not take place on Monday, May 25, 2020 due to the Memorial Day Holiday.
