A RESOLUTION DIRECTIlQG PAYMII~1`P OF INSURANCE PREMIUMS ON BEHALF OF
CITY RETIREE RAY HARTLE.
WHEREAS, former City employee Ray Bartle, upon retirement,
was not entitled under any collective bargaining agreement or
similar instrument presently to receive paid insurance for himself
or his spouse by the City; and,
WHEREAS, most non-supervisory City employees are entitled to
some such form of City paid insurance upon retirement; and,
WHEREAS, the Negotiations, Grievance and Personnel
Committee, to correct such inequity with respect to Ray Hartle,
has recommended that the City pay Ray Flartle's insurance premium
and that of his wife, Frances, until they each reach their
respective ages of 65 years; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar
determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That the City of Canton shall pay insurance premiums for
or on behalf of Ray Hartle and his wife, Frances Hartle, as
follows:
a. For Ray Hartle - until he attains his age of 65 years.
b. For Frances Hartle - until she attains her age of 65
years.
3. That this Resolution shall be retroactive to and
effective as of the date of Ray Hartle's retirement.
4. That payments for or on behalf of Frances Hartle shall
automatically terminate in the event she becomes divorced from Ray
Hartle.
5. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immec:iately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the iiayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 21st day of
February , 1989 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Zilly, Steck, Sarff, 111eade, May, Chapman.
NAYS: None,
