A RESOLIITION APPERTAINING TO "WAVELAND ADDITION" AND LAKE WIND
ADDITION TO LAgE CANTON
Wf~EAS, it has been made to appear to the Canton City
Council that confusion has resulted in the apparent lake of a plat
of "Waveland Addition" to Lake Canton in the public records; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council wishes to set out in the
record its understanding of the status of "Waveland Addition" to
Lake Canton vis-a-vis Lake Wind Addition to Lake Canton.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CODNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council hereby finds the foregoing
recitals to be fact.
2. That "Lake Wind Addition" to Lake Canton has heretofore
been platted and the plat thereof has been filed with the Fulton
County Recorder as Document No. 370714, Plat Book No. 4 at Page
18.
3. That, prior to the aforesaid filing of the Lake Wind
Addition plat, the platted lots therein were known as the same
numbered lot of "Waveland Addition" to Lake Canton.
/~. That several lakeshore leases were executed beginning in
approximately the year 1955 to date identifying certain platted
lots as being numbered lots of "Waveland Addition" to Lake Canton.
5. That no plat of "Waveland Addition" to Lake Canton, to
the best of the knowledge and belief of the Canton City Council,
has ever existed or been filed of record with the Fulton County
Recorder.
6. That, subsequent to the filing of the Lake Wind Addition
plat to Lake Canton the various platted lots have been known as a
numbered lot of Lake Wind Addition to Lake Canton.
7. That actual custom and usage now is that numbered lots
of Lake Wind Addition to Lake Canton are also known as the
corresponding numbered lot of Waveland Addition to Lake Canton.
8. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to immediately
cause a certified copy of this Resolution with the Office of the
Fulton County Recorder.
9. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 7th day of August, 1990
upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Chapman, May, Bohler, Sarff, Steck,
Fuller.
HAYS: None
ABSENT: Aldermen Kovachevich, Meade.
