I, Diana Pavley-Rock, certify that I am the duly elected City Clerk of
the CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
I further certify that on OCTOBER 15, 2019 , the City Council of such
municipality passed and approved Ordinance No 4170 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING GARBAGE SERVICE CHARGES INTO A
DEPRECIATION FUND FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
which proved by its terms that it should be published in pamphlet form.
The pamphlet for Ordinance No. 4170 including the Ordinance and a cover
sheet thereof, was prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance was posted at City Hall,
2 North Main Street Canton IL, commencing on October 15, 2019, and continuing for at
least ten days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also available for public
inspection upon request in the Office of the City Clerk.

ORDINANCE NO. 4170
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING GARBAGE SERVICE CHARGES INTO
DEPRECIATION FUND FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton (the "City") has determined that it is
necessary and in the best interests of the City of Canton to appropriate certain additional revenue
generated by Ordinance No. 4170 into the Depreciation Fund for the Public Works Department of
the City of Canton;
WHEREAS, due to the passage of Ordinance No. 4170 there exists additional revenue
available to the municipality that was not available when the annual appropriation ordinance was
adopted for the current fiscal year;
WHEREAS, Sections 8-2-7 and 8-2-9 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/8-2-7;
65 ILCS 5/8-2-9) authorize the City of Canton to adopt a supplemental appropriation ordinance in
an amount not in excess of the aggregate of any additional revenue available to the municipality.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, ILLINOIS,AS FOLLOWS:
Provided that the amounts do not exceed One Dollar and Fifty Cents($1.50) per person
receiving garbage collection service by the City of Canton,then One Dollar and Fifty Cents($1.50)
per service charge of the additional revenue generated each year by Ordinance No. 4170 shall be
appropriated into the Depreciation Fund of the Public Works Department of the City of Canton.
This Ordinance shall only affect revenue that was not available for appropriation when the
annual appropriation ordinance was adopted for the current Fiscal Year.
This Ordinance shall become effective November 1, 2019.

day of October, 2019 upon a roll call vote as follows:
