further certify that on OCTOBER 15, 2019 the City Council of such
municipality passed and approved Ordinance No 4169 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING NEW GARBAGE RATES
which proved by its terms that it should be published in pamphlet form.
The pamphlet for Ordinance No. 4169 including the Ordinance and a cover
sheet thereof, was prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance was posted at City Hall,
2 North Main Street Canton IL, commencing on October 15, 2019, and continuing for at
least ten days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also available for public
inspection upon request in the Office of the City Clerk.

ORDINANCE NO. 4169
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING NEW GARBAGE RATES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton (the "City") has determined that it is
necessary and in the best interests of the City of Canton to amend Title 7, Chapter 3, Article A,
Section 1 ("Service Charge") of the City Code of the City of Canton to establish new garbage
rates; and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON,ILLINOIS,AS FOLLOWS:
Title 7, Chapter 3, Article A, Section 1 ("Service Charge") of the City Code of the City of
Canton is hereby amended to establish new garbage rates and shall read as follows:
The Council of the City of Canton hereby establishes a service charge to finance the
establishment and maintenance of plants for the collection and disposal of garbage or solely for
the collection or disposal of garbage by a service charge of Seventeen Dollars and Fifty Cents
($17.50),beginning November 1,2019;Eighteen Dollars and Fifty Cents($18.50),beginning May
5,2020;Nineteen Dollars and Zero Cents($19.00),beginning May 4, 2021; and Nineteen Dollars
and Fifty Cents ($19.50),beginning May 3, 2022. Said service charge shall cover the collection of
garbage as set forth in Title 7,Chapter 3, Section 4 of the City Code of the City of Canton. Stickers
for bulk items that do not fit within containers shall be-Ten Dollars and Zero Cents ($10.00) per
sticker.
This Ordinance shall become effective November 1, 2019.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois at a regular meeting this 15th
day of October, 2019 upon a roll call vote as follows:
