the CITY.OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
further certify that on AUGUST 20, 2019 , the City Council of such
municipality passed and approved Ordinance No 4163 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING AND SETTING THE DATE FOR
THE SALE AT PUBLIC AUCTION OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED
BY THE CITY OF CANTON AND NO LONGER NEEDED FOR CITY PURPOSES.
which proved by its terms that it should be published in pamphlet form.
The pamphlet for Ordinance No. 4163 including the Ordinance and a cover
sheet thereof, was prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance was posted at City Hall,
2 North Main Street Canton IL, commencing on AUGUST 20, 2019 , and continuing
for at least ten days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also available for public
inspection upon request in the Office of the City Clerk.

ORDINANCE NO. 4163
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING,DIRECTING AND SETTING THE DATE FOR THE
SALE AT PUBLIC AUCTION OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY
THE CITY OF CANTON AND NO LONGER NEEDED FOR CITY PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has determined that the City of Canton presently
owns certain items of personal property no longer needed or used for City purposes; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. The following items hereto attached as Exhibit "A" are hereby approved for sale
and shall be sold at the online public auction and to the highest bidder. Such auction shall be held at
the 200 East Alder Street Canton Illinois, September 8, 2019-September 15, 2019, and continuing
until all items are sold or until bidding has terminated.
2. Advertisement of such sale shall be made by Gorsuch Auction House.
3. The Mayor may, in his discretion, hire and employ one or more professional
auctioneer(s)to assist in such auction.
4. That this Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage by the City
Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, by at least 3/4 vote of the Corporate Authorities and
approval of the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular
meeting this 201h day of August, 2020 upon a roll call vote as follows:

longer needed for City purposes will be held at the Gorsuch Auction House, 200 East Alder
Street, Canton, Illinois from September 8, 2019-September 15, 2019.
A copy of Auction items may be picked up at the City Clerk's office, 2 N. Main Street, Canton,
Illinois, or can be viewed on the City's website at www.cantonillinois.org.
