A RESOLIITION ESTABLISHING AN ANNIIAL SALARY FOR CHIEF OF POLICE, J.
MICHAEL SLAM
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has previously, on an
interim basis, set the annual salary for Chief of Police, J.
Michael Elam, at the sum of $35,158.00, together with all the
benefits and emoluments thereto customarily relating; and,
ti7HEREAS, the Canton City Council now wishes to memoralize
and make permanent such decision.
NoUa, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council hereby finds the foregoing
recitals to be fact.
2. That the annual salary of Chief of Police, J. Michael
Elam, is hereby set at $35,158.00 per year together Frith all
benefits and emoluments thereto customarily relating.
3. That this Resolution and the salary and benefits set
forth in paragraph 2, above, shall be retroactive to and effective
as of P•2ay /~, 1991.
la.. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois and approved by the Mayor thereof this 17th day
of September, 1991.
