A RESOLIITIOH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRIICTION OF BIICKEYE
STREET, FOR THE MAgING OF IMPROVEMENTS TO STATE ROIITE 78, AND
AIITHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERg TO DATE,
E%ECIITE AND DELIVER SIICH CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CANTON
WHEREAS, the City of Canton in conjunction with the Illinois
Department of Transportation has solicited bids for the
construction of Buckeye Street and for the improvement of State
Route 78, all in the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, Pschirrer Asphalt Company has submitted the sole,
lowest and best bid in the amount of $356,899.73.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CANTON CITY COUNCIL,
Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council hereby finds the foregoing
recitals to be fact.
2. That the Canton City Council hereby awards the aforesaid
bid to Pschirrer Asphalt Company in the aforesaid amount.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to date, execute and deliver said contract together with
all other documents thereto appertaining on behalf of the City of
Canton.
L,.. That the Mayor and City Clerk and all city staff are
hereby authorized and directed to take such other and further
actions in the premises as may by them appear reasonably necessary
to effectuate said contract and the intent of this resolution.
5. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at an emergency meeting this 8th day of August,
1991.
AYES: Aldermen May, Barnett, Bahler, Steck, Sarff, Coay, Molleck.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alderman Meade.
