ORDINANCE NO. iia AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE USE OF PUBLIC BENEFIT TAX FUNDS IN THE PAYNMENT OF CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS TO GREENWOOD CEMETERY WHEREAS, certain public improvements consisting generally of sidewalks and curbing adjacent to Greenwood Cemetery are contem- plated, or, have been made; and, WHEREAS, the City now has on hand the sum of $47,085.00 in the Public Benefit Tax Fund which may be used to pay for some or all of said improvements; and, WHEREAS, it appears to the Canton City Council that said improvements are 50$ in the public benefit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows: 1. That the Canton City Council hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact. 2. That 50$ funding of the said improvements from the Public Benefit Tax Fund will cost approximately $625.00. 3. That the City Treasurer, City Clerk, and Mayor are hereby authorized and directed to utilize $625.00 of Public Benefit Tax Funds to pay for said public improvements. 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor thereof. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 6th day of October , 1987; upon a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aldermen Chapman, Tray, Bohler, Meade, Sarff, Steck, Zilly.
