ORDINANCE NO. 1152
AN ORDINANCE REZONING REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 130 NORTH AVENUE
F., CANTON, ILLINOIS, FROM R-2 TO R-4 ZONING CONFIGURATION.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City
of Canton has, after Notice and Hearing, unanimously recommended
the rezoning of property, on Petition of Wesley and Dixie Hilst,
and Ken and Mary Evans, generally located at the address of
130 North Avenue F., Canton, Illinois, and which is legally
described as follows:
A part of the NE a of Section 28, T. 7N,
R. 4 E. of the 4th P.M., more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the West
Right-of-Way line of North Avenue F with the
South line of the NE a of said Section 28
as the Point of Beginning of the tract to be
described; thence N 4c-51'-13" W. along the
West Right-of-Way line of North Avenue F, a
distance of 32.52 feet; thence N 0°-51-28"
E. along the West Right-of-Way line of North
Avenue F, a distance of 532 feet; thence
S 86°-20'-11" West a distance of 369.36 feet
to the most Southerly corner of Outlot A
in Westwood Estates, Section One, a sub-
division of part of the NE a of said Section
28; thence S 3°-13'-02" E. a distance of
541.63 feet to a point on the South line
of the NE ; of said Section 28; thence in
89°-59'-40" E. along the South line of the
NE a of said Section 28, a distance of 333
feet to the Point of Beginning, containing
4.434 Acres, situated, lying and being in
the County of Fulton and State of Illinois,
from R-2 (Single-Family Residential District) to R-4 (Multiple
-Family Residential District) under the Zoning Ordinance of
this City; and,
and,
WHEREAS, this Council is now fully advised in the premises;
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Canton
to rezone said property from R-2 to R-4.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council hereby finds the foregoing
recitals to be fact.
2. That the property above described be, and it hereby
is, rezoned from its present zoning configuration of R-2
(Single-Family Residential District) to the zoning configuration
of R-4 (Multiple Family Residential District), under the Zoning
Ordinance of this City.
3. That the appropriate officials of this City mark and
make such changes on the Zoning Map of this City as may be
necessary to properly display the zoning change herein Ordained
and do such other acts as are customarily done to reflect the
zoning change.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City
of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor
thereof .
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 23rd day of

AYES: Aldermen Chapman, May, Bohler, Meade, Sarff, Steck,
Zilly, Kovachevich.
NAYS: None.
