ORDINANCE NO. 1226
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR HANDICAP PARKING AT 12 SOUTH MAIN
STREET IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the Canton
City Council has determined that it is necessary, desirable
and in the best interest of the City of Canton to provide for
handicap parking at 12 South Main Street in the City of
Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar
determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found
to be fact.
2. That a handicap parking space shall be provided
on the West side of South Main Street at general
address of 12 South Main Street, Canton,
Illinois.
3. That all ordinances, or, portions of ordinances
in conflict with this ordinance are hereby
rescinded and repealed.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect immediately upon its passage by the City
Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 20th day of
December ~ 198g upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Kovachevich, Steck, Sarff, Meade, Bohler, May.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Aldermen Zilly, Chapman.
