AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT FOR THE
OPERATION OF A BEAUTY SHOP AT 703 SOUTH 3RD AVENUE
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois that the territory hereinafter described is
located within the coporate limits at 703 South 3rd Avenue,
WHEREAS, a Petition for a Home Occupation Permit was filed by the
petitioners and notice thereof was published within said City and County,
all in accordance with the Statutes of the State of Illinois and the
Ordinances of the City of Canton; and,
Whereas, a public hearing concerning such petition was held
before the Planing and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton, Illinois
on June 13, 1988 pursuant to notice; and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said Commiss-
ion did thereupon recommend to the Canton City Council that said Home
Occupation Permit be issued for the operation of a Beauty Shop by Kathie
J. Fanning at 703 South 3rd Avenue,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That a Home Occupation Permit for the operation of a Beauty
Shop issue to, and the same hereby is issued to Kathie J. Fanning at
703 South 3rd Avenue, Canton, Illinois affecting real property described
as follows, to-wit:
Lot Number 33 of Wright's Addition to the City of
Canton, situated in the County of Fulton and the
State of Illinois.
3. That this Home Occupation is personal to Kathie J. Fanning
at the above stated address only for a term of two years from the date
hereof; any cessation of such use shall automatically terminate said
Home Occupation Permit; such Home Occupation Permit is not transferrable
or valid at any other address or affecting any other property.

4. That the records of the City of Canton, appropriate documents,
maps and related regulations be, and the same hereby axe, amended to
reflect the foregoing Home Occupation Permit.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,

AYES: Aldermen Chapman, Bohler, Sarff, Steck, Kovachevich.
NAYS: None .

RE: Commission Report for June 1988
The Canton•Planning & Zoning Commission recommends to the Canton City
Council the approval of the petition of Kathie J. Fanning contract
purchaser, for a Special Use Permit at the real property generally
located at 103 S. 3rd Ave. The petition for Home Occupation/Special
Use Permit is requesting a beauty shop.
The petition of Mr. Leonard N. Carper for rezoning of property located
at 156 and 156% VanBuren Ct. from it's present zoning classification
of B-3 to I-1 for a glass crushing shop was withdrawn by Mr. Carper;
matter tabled.
