ORDINANCE ~. 1246
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE WEST SIDE OF NORTH
AVII~tTE C FROM WEST BIRCH S TO WEST MYRTLE STREET IN THE
CITY OF CAN`1~ON, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the
Canton City Council has determined it is necessary,
desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
restrict parking on the west side of North Avenue C from
t~]est Birch Street to trJest I~iyrtle Street; and,
WfH;t2EAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar
determination
NOW, THEREE'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OOUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be
fact.
2. That parking on the west side of North Avenue ~:
from the south right-of-way line of tdest Birch
Street to the north right-of-way line of ttiTest
P~lyrtle Street is hereby prohibited.
3. That all ordinances, or, portions of ordinances
in conflict with this ordinance are hereby
rescinded and repealed.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten (10) days after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, approval by the I~layor thereof, and
publication in pamphlet for as provided by law.
5. That the Street Superintendent shall cause
appropriate signs to be posted on North Avenue C
from t9est Birch Street to t^Jest P~Iyrtle Street in
accordance with this ordinance.

Fulton County, Illinois at a regular r~leeting this 6th day
of June , 1989 upon a roll call vote as follo~rs:
