ORDINANCE N0. ~0.
AN ORDINANCE ANNE%ING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF CANTON,
FOLTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS OF SANTOISHI MOTEL, INC., RURAL ROUTE 4,
CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the City Clerk for the
annexation of the real property described below, and said real
property is not within the corporate limits of any municipality,
but is contiguous to the City of Canton, Illinois,
A part of the Southeast Ruarter of Section 10, Township 7
North, Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, Fulton
County, Illinois, being more particularly described as
follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Section
10, thence South 89 degrees 2 minutes 59 seconds West,
1490.04 feet, thence North 147.08 feet to the Actual Point
of Beginning marked by an existing iron pin, thence South 88
degrees 59 minutes 13 seconds West 395.0 feet to an iron
pin, thence North 1 degree 00 minutes 44 seconds West 212.74
feet to an iron pin, thence North 89 degrees 27 minutes 17
seconds East, 432.90 feet to an iron pin, thence Southerly
on a curve to the right along an arc 212.64 feet to the
Actual Point of Beginning, containing 2.011 acres, situated
in the County of Fulton and State of Illinois.
WHEREAS, a public hearing on said petition was conducted by
the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Canton on December
9, 1991 pursuant to proper notice having been published in the
Daily Ledger;
WHEREAS, on December g, 1991 the Planning & Zoning
Commission recommended to the City Council that the real property
described in the exhibit attached hereto be annexed to the City of
Canton pursuant to Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised State
Statutes,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Canton,
Illinois that said real property be annexed to the City of Canton.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:

2. That the described real property be and is hereby
annexed to the City of Canton, Illinois.
3. That the described real property be and is hereby
rezoned B-2, General Commercial District.
!~. That the zoning Administrator is directed to make the
appropriate changes to the zoning maps of the City of Canton to
show this annexation and zoning.
5. That the City Clerk is directed to record with the
Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County and to file with the County
Clerk of Fulton Coun ty a certified copy of this Ordinanc e together
with an accurate map of the annexed territory.
6. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton and
approval by its Mayor.
