AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON BUCKEYE STREET IN THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Streets and Traffic Committee of the City of
Canton, Illinois has determined that it is necessary to prohibit
parking on Buckeye Street in the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois
has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That no parking of any motor vehicle shall be permitted
on the North side or the South side of Buckeye Street in the City
of Canton, Illinois; and,
2. That the appropriate officials of the City shall post
appropriate signs and make appropriate markings informing people
of this Ordinance.
3. Any person who violates this Ordinance shall, upon
conviction, be subject to a fine of not less than five dollars
($5.00), nor more than two hundred dollars ($200.00) for each
offense.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect 10
days after its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication according
to law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois
and approval by the Mayor thereof this 4th day of June, 199.
