Enclosed are the proposed improvement plans for Chestnut
Street in Canton, Illinois.
To receive approval for bidding from IDOT, our client, the
City of Canton, requires an agreement from the Burlington
Northern Railroad. The agreement will allow for the work as
shown in the plans to be done on railroad right-of-way. Our
records indicate a portion of the area where the construction
is to take place is on railroad right-of-way.
You are reminded that the 12" storm sewer will be open cut as
I have discussed with your Roadmaster, Dan Drewes. You will
be invited to attend the preconstruction meeting for further
discussions.
Please send a letter of agreement which would allow the
proposed improvement to be constructed. If you have any
questions, feel free to contact me.

Subject: Chestnut Street Improvements, Canton, Illinois, Section
91-00081-O1-FP, Fulton County, CAN-22-13-92-043. MP 63.16,
DOT ~~078-598W, Chestnut Street and Fourth Avenue intersection
with the Burlington Northern Railroad Company
Please refer to letter from Mr. Eric C. Moe, P.E., Project Engineer with
McClure Engineering Association, Inc., wherein he requested a letter
agreement between the Burlington Northern Railroad Company and the City
of Canton, Illinois.
This letter is to serve as the letter agreement to allow for the
proposed paving work as shown on plans for Project STPM-5007(6), Section
91-00081-O1-FP, on Chestnut Street and Fourth Avenue, upon the
right-of-way of the Burlington Northern Railroad Company.
Please notify the Burlington Northern Railroad Company at (309)
345-6333, Mr. Richard Hopkins, 48 hours in advance of any constructioci
closer than twenty-five feet from the centerline of our mainline at
Chestnut Street and Fourth Avenue, in order for the BNRR Co. to provide
a flagman, if needed, at the contractor's expense.
