A RESOLIITION APPROVING AN AGREEN~fiTT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
BETWEEN THE CITY OF CANTON AND RICE, BERRY AND UZMAN AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERg TO E%ECIITE AND DELIVER SAID AGREEMEAiT ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton has
determined that it is necessary and in the beat interest of the
City of Canton to enter into an Agreement for Engineering Services
with Rice, Berry and Uzman, hereto attached and herein
incorporated as Exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Agreement For Engineering Services, hereto
attached as Exhibit "A" between the City of Canton and Rice, Berry
and Uzman is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute and deliver said Agreement on behalf of the
City of Canton, Illinois.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 20th day of December,
1994, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen May, Bohler, Meade, Sarff, Phillips, Coay.
NAYS: Nane.
ABSENT: Alderman. Chapman, N~lleck.

Dear Ms. Skaggs:
Please consider this our proposal to furnish engineering services for the preparation
of plans and specifications for the reconstruction of the sewer which is presently attached
to the subject structure. Provisions will be made for a temporary sewer to be utilized during
the removal and replacement of the bridge, and for a new sewer to be attached to the new
bridge. This work will be based on survey information which is to be provided to us by the
city.
Payment due the Engineer for services rendered in accordance with this proposal will
be on the basis of actual payroll cost times 3.0 to cover payroll burden, fringe costs,
overhead and profit. Actual travel and out-of-pocket expenses will be paid for at actual cost
to the Engineer. Payment due the Engineer for services rendered in accordance with this
agreement will be made as soon as practicable after the services have been performed.
At this time, the estimated total engineering fee for this work is $5,000. This amount
will not be exceeded without authorization from you.

Dear Mr. Uzman:
We have reviewed the set of bridge plans that you sent us with _
your letter of September Z1, 1994, and we find the method for
carrying the sanitary sewer on the bridge to be satisfactory. We
did not perform any structural calculations.
