RESOLUTION NO. 3257
A RESOLUTION HONORING STATE REPRESENTATIVE TOM HOMER.
WHEREAS, as State Representative Tom Homer has chosen not to
seek a seventh term in the Illinois House of Representatives for
the 91st District; and,
WHEREAS, as Representative Homer has served the City of
Canton with an uncommon dedication and has an outstanding record
of representing the citizens of Canton, Illinois; and,
WHEREAS, as Representative Homer has been very helpful
working with Canton through a very difficult economic period; and,
WHEREAS, as Tom, Sandy and family has given to this community
their time and talents to help Canton maintain a good quality of
life that all of us in Canton enjoy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That Sunday, November 13, 1994, be declared Tom Homer Day
so that the community may show its appreciation to the Homer
family.
2. To encourage all residents to attend the reception to be
held at the Elk's Lodge on Sunday, November 13, 1994 from 6:00
p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois, and signed by all elected officials, at a
regular meeting this 1st day of November, 1994.
