RESOLUTION N0. 3247
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AN APPLICATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF
COMMERCE AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE
COMPETITIVE COMMUNITIES INITIATIVE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community
Affairs (DCCA) is sponsoring a Competitive Communities Initiative
program; and,
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community
Affairs (DCCA) requires the passage of a resolution of support for
the program by the Canton City Council in order to apply for
acceptance in the pilot program; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Canton, Illinois is desirous of
applying for acceptance in the Competitive Communities Initiative
program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton supports the
application for acceptance in the Competitive Communities
Initiative program.
2. That the Mayor and City of Canton shall comply with all
conditions necessary to apply and receive acceptance in the above
named program.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk on behalf of the City of
Canton shall execute and deliver such documents necessary to
receive said acceptance.
4. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to provide
such additional information as may be required to make application
in the program.
5. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 16th day of August,
1994, upon a roll call vote as follows:
