(SEAL) ihie DIANA PAVLEY-ROCK CITY CLERK • CITY OF CANTON ORDINANCE NO 4116 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2018 PUBLISHED IN PAMPHLET FORM BY AUTHORITY OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, THIS 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2018 EFFECTIVE: OCTOBER 16, 2018 Ordinance No. 4116 An Ordinance Authorizing The Sale of Certain Personal Property Owned by the City if Canton, Illinois WHEREAS, pursuant to the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/11-76-4) the City of Canton has the ability to sell personal property that has been deemed no longer necessary or useful to, or for the best interests of the City; WHEREAS, the City currently owns a 1991 Ford dump truck L8000, VIN# 1 FDXR82AONV02247 with mileage totaling 172,987 and hours totaling 9,272; WHEREAS, the City hereby finds this vehicle to be no longer necessary or useful to, or for the best interests of the City and wishes to place the vehicle for sale. THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The foregoing recitals are incorporated herein as findings of the City Council of the City of Canton; Section 2: Pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, the City Council finds that the vehicle described above, now owned by the City, to be no longer necessary or useful to, or for the best interests of the City; Section 3: Pursuant to said section 5/11-76-4, Ron Robinson, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to sell the vehicle via a bidding process. The City shall accept any bid they deem appropriate and may reject any or all bids for any reason deemed to be in the best interests of the City and its citizens; Section 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and adoption.
