Resolution
Whereas, there is not sufficient money in the treasury
of the City of Canton to meet and defray the ordinary and
necessary expenses thereof,
..nd whereas, it is desirable that the City of Canton
borrow money to meet and defray the ordinary and necessary
expenses thereof,
Therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Canton, that the Mayor and Chairman of the Committee
on Finance be , and they hereby are authorized and directed
to execute tax anticipation warrants numbered one and two
in form similar to the copy hereto attached and made a part
of this resolution, each for 4i5,000.00 with interest at six
per cent per annum, payable solely out of taxes levied for
general corporate purposes for the fiscal year beginning on
the first Tuesday in May, 1934;
.nd be it further resolved that the City Treasurer of
the City of Canton be , and he hereby is authorized and di-
rected to sell said warrants at par and receive payment there-
for into the City Treasury.

For value received, and pursuant to express authority for
such purposes granted by resolution by the City Council for the
City of Canton, in the County of Fulton and Mate ,of Illinois, and
in conformity thereto, the Treasurer of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois, will pay to bearer the sum of Five Thousand, Dol-
Dire ($6,000.00) with interest at six per cent per annum from date
hereof until paid, or until notice shall be given that money for its
payment is available out of the following Items of taxes when col*
looted, whioh taxes have heretofore been levied by the City of Canton,
for the fiscal year beginning the first Tuesday in May, A.D. 1934,

No. 47, Vouchers Mo. 6,7,8,9,10 in Paving District
No. 48, and Vouchers No. 4,6,6,7,8,9,10 in Paving

The within and foregoing warrant is issued for the purpose of

the purpose therein specified together with all other warrants here-
tofore issued does not anticipate the collection of over seventy-five
per cent of the taxes levied by the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, for corporate purposes for the fiscal year beginning the
first Tuesday in May, A.D. 1934.
