WHEREAS, the Canton Park Board has requested the City of Canton for permission to
use the City jail of the City of Canton for the commitment of prisoners committed for
the violation of an ordinance of the said Park Board; and, whereas the statutes of the
State of Illinois provide for the use of a city jail under these circumstances; and
whereas, it is the desire of the City Council to cooperate with the said Canton Park
Board in this as well as all other matters;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
That consent is hereby given by the said City of Canton for the use of the city
jail in all cases where commitment is made for the violation of any ordinance or law
of the Canton Park Board or District. It is hereby provided however that any and all
expense that may be incurred in the maintainance of any person or persons thus committed
to the said city jail shall be borne by said Canton Park District.
