'IHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and desireable that a Traffic
Signal be installed at the intersection of North Main and 7/est
Locust Streets in the City of Canton; and, whereas , the City Council
of the City of Janton has been advised that such installation is
agreeable to the Highway Department of the State of Illinois , and
that the costs of the installation of sane may be made from the
City of Canton's share of. the State gasoline tax,
THEREFORE, BE IT `?E307,ITl D BY TIE CITY COTOTCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLIIIOIS,
That a fourway electric traffic signal be installed at the
intersection of North Main and 'gest Locust Streets in said City;
that plans and specifications therefor be prepared under the direct-
ion of the City Engineer; that the same be submitted to the State
Highway Department for inspection and approval ; that upon approval
of same bids for sane be advertised for; that the sum of :;1580.00
be and the same hereby is appropriated from the City's share of
the Eras tax; that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the
Department of Highways .
