'xTI.EREAS, there has arisen in the City of Canton
En emergency that ma.(es it essential that certain extreordi-
nnry precautions be ten re= ardin the oar'r.ing of vehicles
on certain streets in the said City of Canton;
THEREFORE, 9T IT RESOLED SY THE SAID CITY OF
CANTON: That the p r'cinr; of 91I vehicle:, of whatever nature,
and at all times be, and the sage are hereby forbidden on the
followin;; streets in the said City of '-'antcn:
On both sides of NortT. Second Avenue
fro: the north property line of the
Central Illinois Public Service Com-
pany south to the south side of east
Pine Street;
On both sides of East Pine Street from
North Second Avenue west to the east
side of the City Hui? inm of the said
City of Canton; and
On both sides of Van Buren Court from
the north property line of the Central
Illinois Public Service Company south
to the south side of Last Pine Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AY THE SAID CITY OF CA'ATTOY:
That appropriate s cps be erected on said streets notifying
the public of the provisions aforesaid.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the
Mayor, this day of January Ar. D. 1942.
