THE MOTOR FUEL TAX TAW
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois, that the following described streets be designated
as Arterial Streets, subject to the approval of the department of
Public Works and Buildings, State of Illinois.
BEGINNING at East Elm Street and extending thence in a southerly
direction along White Court to an intersection with Walnut Street
to be known as Arterial Street Number 14, extended .
BEGINNING at Fourth Avenue and extending thence in an easterly
directbn along East Pine Street to an intersection with East Corp-
orate Limits and to be known as Arterial Street Number 7, extended .
BEGINNING at West Pine Street and Estending thence in a northerly
diredtion along Avenue B to an intersection with West Locust Street
and to be known as Arterial Street Number 12, extended ; also, begin-
ing at West Vine Street and extending thence in a northerly direction
along North Avenue B to an intersection with West Myrtle Street and
to be known as Arterial Street Number 12, extended .
BEGINNING at North Avenue B and estending thence in a easterly direct-
ion along West Myrtle Street to an intersection with North. Main Street
and to be known as Arterial Street Number 19.
BEGINNING at South Main Street and extending t}:fence in an easterly
direction along East Walnut Street to an intersection with White
Court and to be known as Arterial Street Number 8, extended .
BEGINNING at North Main Street and estending thence in a westerly
direction along West Ash Street to an intersection with North Avenue
B and to be known as Arterial Street Number 2, extended .
All of said streets being indicated on the attached municipal map.
And , be it further resolved, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to
transmit two certified copies of this resolution to the Department of
Public Works and Buildings , Springfield , Illinois , through its district
engineer.
Passed by the City Council of the Ciyt of Canton, Illinois, and approved
by the Mayor this 5th day of June, A.D. 1940.
