WHEREAS, death has removed ,from membership in this body
the person of Leslie Woodcock, and
WHEREAS, Alderman Woodcock did serve as a member of this
body for the past three years during which time his capacity
for leadership, strength of character, and sense of justice
became firmly established and respected by all, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed but fitting and proper that this
body take proper recognition of its loss and the loss to the
community.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
That the sincere regret of this body the removal
by death of Alderman Woodcock is hereby expressed and that the
sympathy of this body to the loved ones of the deceased is here-
by extended.
That a copy of this resolution be spread at large -upon the
records of this body and that a copy hereof be transmitted to
the family of the deceased.
Passed by the City Council and Approvedby the Mayor this
7th day of March, A. U. 1940.
