WHEREAS, W. D. Hardesty, Highway Commissioner of the Township of Orion,
Fulton County, Illinois, has applied to the city for a right-of-way or ease-
ment for road purposed over and across certain real estate now owned by the
City of Canton and located in Orion Township, Fulton County, Illinois, and
WHEREAS, such real estate is no longer necessary for any municipal pur-
pose and it is deemed to be for the best interest of the city to grant said request,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED NY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
That the Township of Orion, Fulton County, Illinois, is hereby ;:ranted
a right-of-way or easement over and across the following described property
for road purposes:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northeast quarter of the
above section 30, Orion Township 7 north, range 5 east, thence
south 2340 feet, then west 25.4 feet to the place of beginning,
being a post on the fence line at west side of township road: thence
south 17 degrees 19 minutes west 86.5 feet: thence soudh 51 degrees
12 minutes west 345.7 feet to a corner fence post on the north side
of the township road running east and west: thence north 57 degrees
47 minutes east, 24.8 feet: thence north 54 degrees 37 minutes east,
270 feet: thence north 52 degre's 44 minutes east, 30 feet: thence
north 41 degrees 7 minutes east 22.1 feet: thence north 31 degrees
37 minutes east 17.5 feet: thence north 18 degrees 52 minutes east
15.8 feet: thence north one degree 52 minutes east 65 feet, to the
c)lace of beginning.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, and Approved
by the Mayor this 7th day of March, A. D. 1940.
